Introduction to the Art of the Intake – Getting the Story Right

Holistic medicine means you got the whole story. If we don't get the story right, on both intake and follow-up, then all previous learning is wasted. If we get the wrong story, our case analysis is wrong, then we treat according to the wrong story. The therapeutics will not work or may even cause discomfort or harm. In this lecture we discuss some of the core specialized interview skills which can elicit accurate information. We will also give a comprehensive picture of the template of information that is necessary to get the whole story for a comprehensive holistic therapeutic plan.
