Chinese Herbs for Athletic Training and Performance
90 minutes
Chinese tonic herbs may assist the athlete in training, performance, and/or recovery, but also come with the risk of promoting overreaching and burnout. We describe the training cycle, some elements of essential sports nutrition, and then the categories of Chinese tonic herbs used by Athletes in China. With Materia Medica, formulation, a review of scientific literature, and sample cases.
