Overview
In this second course in our Advanced Clinical Skills sequence, we describe the items for an intake in detail, and describe patterns to be assessed during the process. Patterns described include nutrient deficiencies, patterns in the pulse and tongue, the classical patterns from traditional system of medicine of hot vs cold, excess vs. deficient, dry-vs damp, tense vs relaxed; red flag symptoms, common patterns described by Chinese syndromes such as False Heat and False Cold, dietary patterns and associated pathologies, digestive insufficiency, intestinal dysbiosis, leaky gut syndrome, and insulin resistance.
